The life of a game market
3 min readAll pages
Every game goes through the same stages, in the same order.
Earning → Queue → Notice (3 days) → Opening auction (72 hours) → Market
The queue is paused until Mon 23 Nov 2026 at 15:00 UTC: no new game freezes or opens an auction until then. Auctions already open run to their end.
1. Earning
The game is live and players play it.
- Pack shares and Bought shares earn from the game's 20% weekly pool.
- Holders of Bought shares choose Keep (the default) or Convert. Pack holders can upgrade.
2. In the queue
The game's lifetime net revenue (bets minus wins) reaches its bar, it has been live for 30 days (its first real-money bet at least 30 days ago), and it joins the queue.
- The queue is ranked by the revenue that sets the price: the lower of the last 30 days and the last 90 days ÷ 3, with no single losing player counting for more than a quarter (winners count in full). Highest first. JustBet Originals are ranked the same way.
- The creator's own bets and house bets don't count.
- The ranking updates once a day. A game's place locks when its notice starts.
3. Notice: 3 days
- Auctions run 3 at a time. While one wave of 3 auctions runs, the next 3 games get 3 days' notice.
- When a game's notice starts (or its auction opens, if it has no notice), buying and upgrading stop and the shares are counted, with each holder's choice.
- At the same moment the game's floor price per unit is locked. The auction never sells a unit below it, and an upgrade costs half of it (see The opening auction).
4. Opening auction: 72 hours
- Accounts with at least $50 wagered in real-money bets bid in USD (bets in any currency count at their USD value on the day; bonus-funded bets don't). Everyone who wins pays the same price per unit.
- To open the market the auction must raise at least $100 in total at or above the floor price. Under that, every bid is refunded in full, no units are created, and the game tries again after 7 days. Units left unsold stay in the game's reserve.
5. Market
- Units trade in USD.
- Holders are paid every week.
- Locked units unlock over time (see Unlocks).
- Pack shares and kept Bought shares stay shares and keep earning from the 20% pool.
The restart
The first six games' auctions and notices were ended as an operator reset. Every bid was refunded in full. Nobody lost anything, and the games got no penalty.
Then:
- A choice window, open now, until the restart on Thu 22 Oct 2026 at 15:00 UTC. Holders choose Keep (the default) or Convert. Pack holders can upgrade.
- The queue restarts. The top 3 games open 72-hour auctions. The next 3 start a 3-day notice.
- The shares are counted at that moment, with each holder's choice, and each game's floor price per unit is locked.
