Risks and important notes

Please read this before you bid, buy, convert or upgrade.
- Prices can go down. A unit can be worth less tomorrow than what you paid today.
- Payouts can go down or be zero. They follow the game's real results, week by week.
- WINR's price moves. Units trade in USD, but shares are bought with WINR and payouts are paid in WINR, so their value in USD changes when WINR's price changes.
- Early units are first come. When a game's 3,000 are reserved, Convert and Upgrade give no more units for it. One player can reserve at most 1,000 per game.
- Converting is a choice. Converted shares leave the 20% pool and become units. Kept shares stay in the pool.
- The floor price follows past revenue. It is worked out from the last 30 and 90 days and says nothing about what a game will earn next.
- Selling shares needs a buyer. On the share market a sale needs another player at your price, and the shares move only after the week's pool is paid.
- Locked units can't be sold until they unlock.
- Markets can be quiet. Selling a large amount may take time or move the price.
- Auctions can fail. If the minimum isn't reached, everyone is refunded.
- Rules can change, with notice. Any change is announced at least 14 days ahead, never applies to anything already done, and is listed in the change log on the Game Markets page.
- Only use money you're comfortable with.
Game Markets doesn't promise any income. Every rule is public and the same for everyone.
